Bank Holiday Cocktail Ideas

We’re now well into summer and things are heating up once again, including our bank holiday plans. If you're planning to host your loved ones over the long weekend, great food and refreshing drinks are bound to be a part of that. Check out our top bank holiday cocktail recipes below:

Bramble Cocktail

Starting off with a personal favourite, the Bramble Cocktail. This one is for anyone who loves a fruity and tart flavour.

For one cocktail:

  • 50ml gin

  • 25ml lemon juice

  • ¾ tbsp sugar syrup

  • Ice cubes

  • ¾ tbsp creme de mure

  • 1 lemon slice and a blackberry (to serve)

 

  1. Add gin, lemon juice and sugar syrup in a cocktail shaker with a good handful of ice cubes and shake until completely mixed.

  2. Add ice to a glass and pour over the shaker mix.

  3. Drizzle the creme de mure over the top of the cocktail

  4. Finish off with a lemon slice and blackberry.

Spicy Margarita

The Margarita is a cocktail that has captivated the world for years, it’s truly a favourite. This one’s got a twist that we hope you will love just as much:

  • 1 lime wedge

  • 2 jalapeno coins

  • 60ml blanco tequila

  • 15ml orange liqueur

  • 30ml lime juice

  • 15ml agave syrup

  • Salt and jalapeno slices (to serve)

 

  1. Line the rim of a cocktail glass with a lime wedge, dip the rim of the glass in salt to coat.

  2. Add the jalapeno slices to a cocktail shaker and gently shake.

  3. Add ice, blanco tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, and agave syrup to the cocktail shaker and gently shake.

  4. Add ice to the cocktail glass and pour over the cocktail mix.

  5. Top with a jalapeno slice.

Cucumber G&T

For those that like a twist on a true classic, how about a Cucumber G&T; a perfect mix which creates a truly refreshing cocktail.

For one cocktail:

  • 25-30ml gin

  • Tonic water (straight from the fridge)

  • 1 lemon sliced into wedges

  • 2 strips fresh cucumber

  • Ice

 

  1. Pour the gin into the glass and top with a lemon wedge and 2 slices of cucumber.

  2. Add the ice to the glass and pour in the chilled tonic water.

  3. Squeeze over some fresh lemon juice and serve.
