Your Guide to Preston Park, Brighton

Your Guide to Preston Park, Brighton

Located in the heart of Preston Village, Preston Park is the largest urban park in Brighton, and offers 63-acres of green space to explore – perfect for residents of our nearby Preston Road development.

Whether you want to get active in the outdoors or take a leisurely autumn stroll around the beautiful flower gardens, the park has plenty to offer all-year round.

In recent years, many parts of the park have been restored as part of a 10-year project between Brighton & Hove City Council, The Heritage Lottery Fund and English Heritage. The park is home to beautiful bedding scheme, a re-stored walled garden and much more.

The Grade II listed clock tower sits within the heart of the park and can be seen from each of the park’s four entry gates. For more history within the park, Preston Manor is a charming Edwardian style house which dates back to 1738.

If you are looking for an active day out, the park offers a range of sports facilities such as bowling greens, tennis and basketball courts or football and cricket pitches. The park also includes a large children’s playground complete with a sandpit.

For an afternoon autumn stroll, the park has beautiful must-visit gardens including rose, wildflower, rock and walled gardens. In 2001 the rose garden was replanted with 4,000 old-fashioned shrub roses and its life-size French statues restored to their former glory.
