With the school summer holidays fast-approaching, we’ve compiled a guide to the best family friendly activities across the South East.
From the 20th – 25th August the Folkestone Museum is hosting Dinosaur Week; a fun, yet educational experience where kids can find out what life was like hundreds of millions of years ago when dinosaurs roamed the earth.

This summer, Leeds Castle in Maidstone is playing host to an al fresco performance of Peter Pan. This children’s classic will fly all of the family away to Neverland to meet Tinkerbell, Peter Pan, Captain Hook and friends. Showing on 17th and 18th August.

This charming wildlife park is a firm favourite amongst locals and those travelling from further afield. Not only can you expect to see a variety of animals at this zoo, but the Park also has a range of rides that are suitable for all.

On 14th and 15th July, the Surrey branch of the Royal Horticultural Society is hosting ArtsFest – an event celebrating 250 years of the circus. Needless to say, you can expect to find a whole stack of themed activities, such as trapeze workshops and roaming magicians.

On 4th, 11th and 18th August, book your young ones into an hour-long science workshop at National Trust-owned Petworth House in West Sussex. Attendees will take part in experiments, slime making, magic tricks and everything in-between.

The Superhero Show is coming to Bracknell this summer. This interactive science demonstration is perfect for primary school aged children and focuses on superpower experiments to build strength and invisibility.
