Notting Hill Carnival 

What’s the August Bank Holiday weekend without Carnival? The Caribbean-inspired party kicks off on Saturday 25th August and lasts until Monday 27th August. Expect vibrant parades full of colour, sound stations on every corner, street food and steel band competitions.

Fulham Beach Club 

After the success of last year, Fulham Beach Club, the only Thameside beach in the Capital,  is back once again. Expect to find white sand, palm trees and pastel beach huts offering great food and cocktails. Book ahead for cabanas, daybeds, beach huts, feasting tables and their private dining room.

Michael Jackson: On the Wall at the National Portrait Gallery 

The highly-anticipated Michael Jackson exhibition has arrived at the National Portrait Gallery. Expect to find a show full of Michael Jackson inspired art, including Kehinde Wiley’s ostentatious portrait of MJ sat astride a horse, David Lachapelle depicting him as Jesus and Candice Breitz’s video installation of 16 Germans performing ‘Thriller’.

Little Shop of Horrors 

Get yourself down to the Open Air Theatre for this summer’s performance of the ‘Little Shop of Horrors’. It’s the first major revival in a decade of the horror comedy musical which focuses on a luckless florist who raises a bloodsucking plant.

Zip Now London at Archbishop's Park 

If adrenaline is your thing, then take a ride on the world’s fastest urban zip wire at Archbishop’s Park. Experience life in the fast lane as you zoom past some of London’s most iconic sights, such as The Shard, Big Ben and the Coca-Cola London Eye. At its fastest, the zip line tops speeds of 30mph and is 35m above the ground below.

BBC Proms 

The BBC Proms is one of the not-to-be-missed events during the London summer season. Hosted by the Royal Albert Hall and in venues across the Capital, the Proms features two months’ worth of music concerts, with the aim of bringing classical music (with contemporary guests) to as many people as possible. It truly is a sight to behold.

Titania's Tea Garden & Puck's Gin Emporium 

Sat on the banks of the Thames, The Swan at Shakespeare’s Globe has been transformed into an enchanted world. Inspired by ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, the set is full of beautifully hand-crafted flora and fauna. Titania’s Tea Garden has also been set up to serve a special afternoon menu from 12pm to 5pm, while from 6.30pm to 11pm, the scene changes for cocktails prepared by Puck’s Gin Emporium.

Ladbrokes Challenge Cup Final at Wembley Stadium
