With Guy Fawkes night fast approaching, we’ve rounded up the biggest and best fireworks displays across the capital.

 

North London

 

Alexandra Palace 

This north London affair has one of the largest displays in London which lights up the panoramic London skyline. Alexandra Palace takes its fireworks seriously, making it a must-see event. Arrive early to enjoy the German beer festival and burning fire parade.

Date: Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th November

Tickets: 10 and under FREE; children (11-15 years old), £7.50; adults, £10. Family tickets available.

 

Stoke Newington 

The Hackney Fireworks Display returns to its home in leafy Stoke Newington for another year of entertainment. Don’t let the name deceive you - it’s not all about fireworks, you can also enjoy funfair rides, street performers and a wide array of food and drink options. This year’s fireworks theme is ‘Movies’, so expect to singalong to some of your favourite film soundtracks.

Tickets: Children, £3.50; adults, £8.50. Hackney residents receive £1 off admission.

 

Victoria Park   

One of the few London affairs to happen on Guy Fawkes night itself, this East London show is legendary and often draws a huge crowd. It’s also one of the few displays that offers free entrance to the public and for this reason we’d recommend arriving early to avoid disappointment.

Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Stratford

Set in the Olympic Park, this event has two fireworks displays; one musical affair for children at 7pm and the main event at 8.30pm. It’s worth noting that all tickets must be booked online in advance.

Tickets: Children, £10.50; seniors/students, £13.50; adults, £16.50. All tickets give you access to the Arcelormittal Orbit slide.

 

South London

 

Battersea Park  

If you’re looking for a display with attitude, then this the show for you. Battersea Park continue to excel with its pyrotechnic game and this year is set to be no different. The firework display will also be set to music inspired by the theme of ‘Power’.

Tickets: 10 and under, FREE; 11 and over, £10.

 

Wimbledon

Wimbledon will be host to two major fireworks events this year. The first display starts at the child-friendly time of 6.30pm and is Disney-themed, while the more dramatic, adult affair commences at 8.15pm. Don’t miss out on the mesmerising bonfires, which launch both events.

Blackheath

Blackheath hosts one of the largest free displays in London which attracts crowds of up to 80,000 people each year. Arrive early to get the best view.

Lambeth  

Lambeth Fireworks is renowned across South London for its highly-entertaining displays. The theme this year is ‘A Night at the Movies’ and the event itself will also feature a bonfire, funfair, local performers and an array of warming food and drink.
