The botanical gardens provide a stunning location for a picnic. With designated picnic areas and floral backdrops, you can sit and look at the beautiful surroundings. While the £16.50 entry fee may be a bit steep, there are countless beautiful picnic spots within the grounds.

Greenwich Park 

Greenwich boasts one of the city’s largest green spaces, and with 183 acres there is plenty of space to enjoy your picnic. The best spots are atop the hill, which offers spectacular views of the Thames and London Skyline.

Clapham Common 

South of the river, Clapham Common is famous for its large, tranquil green space perfect for a picnic. While it is often busy with footballers, joggers and dog walkers, there are plenty of quiet corners for a pleasant picnic.

Hampstead Heath
