A common misconception about Shared Ownership is that you can’t own 100% of your home. In fact, we’re pleased to tell you that the opposite is true; after you purchase your initial share you can increase, in 10% increments, all the way up to owning 100% of your home – something that we call “Staircasing”. 

By increasing your equity share, you also reduce the amount of rent you pay monthly. When you own 100% of your property, you will be entirely rent free - you’ll only need to pay your monthly mortgage fee.

Staircasing Application Process

In order to get the process started, you can follow these simple steps:

2.    Get your free financial advice

3.    Arrange a valuation 

4.    Send us the valuation and form (we’ll then send you staircasing options)

5.    Return your signed confirmation form by 31 December 2019

6.    Instruct solicitors and finalise your mortgage

7.    Complete
