Stay On Trend This Summer

For the past two years, COVID-19 has meant that the majority of summer trends have focused on making outdoor spaces more liveable. In summer 2022, interior decor trends are back in a big way. We’ve created a list of interior trends which will help to refresh your home in time for the summer months.

Blurring The Indoors & Outdoors

The indoor-outdoor trend seems to be gaining momentum again this summer, combining interiors with exteriors to create a seamless living space which can be enjoyed in the warmer weather. This can be done by rearranging furniture to embrace outdoor views and by adding in greenery for a ‘jungle’ vibe; making any room feel like a sunroom.

Stone

This summer is all about one material in particular: stone. Stone has been showing up in coffee tables and decor pieces, accentuating the ‘bringing the outdoors in’ trend. If stone is a little out of budget, don’t panic; there are many similar manmade materials on the market that mimic stone, allowing it to be widely incorporated into beautiful furniture pieces.

Blue and Green Hues

Interior designers have seen a shift from greys to blues in recent years and while green is having a moment of its own in interior design, Blue has been labelled the ‘colour of summer 2022’. Blues can be used in contemporary ways to add a pop of colour to every room through paint on the walls and via home decor pieces.

Curves

Curves are a trend which are being incorporated into all kinds of furnishings from chairs to sofas to home accessories. The softer silhouettes of curved furniture allow homeowners to break up the harsh lines of a room and add movement to it.
