Situated in Houghton, near Arundel, The George and Dragon is one of the oldest pubs in the county. It’s jam-packed full of character and charm, and has a pub garden with breath-taking views across the South Downs. The restaurant also bakes its own bread, including gluten free.

The Royal Oak Inn, in East Lavant, is a fantastic destination gastropub. The pub has adopted a field to fork mentality and all produce, from Selsey crabs to pheasants, is locally sourced.

The Horse Guards Inn

Nestled in the South Downs National Park, the 350-year-old Horse Guards Inn is a perfect spot for a post-walk feast.
