DLR and National Rail
Living in Woolwich you have the option of two train stations. Woolwich Arsenal sits on the DLR and National Rail. This reliable East London connection gets you into Bank in 28 minutes, Oxford Circus in 40 minutes, while Embankment takes 36 minutes.
If you want to reach the City, then Woolwich Dockyard station is the one for you. This zone 3 station gets you to Cannon Street in 34 minutes.
Thames Clipper
What better way to commute to work in the capital than to cruise in by boat? The Thames Clipper offers a speedy and reliable service from Woolwich all the way to London Bridge in just 29 minutes.
The beauty of the journey is that it’s serene (compared with the tube, it’s like doing tai chi vs. wrestling), and has a variety of drop-off points. You have the choice of getting off at Greenwich, Blackfriars, Embankment, Waterloo, Westminster and more.
Prices are a little more expensive than the tube. An all zones single with an Oyster is £7.20, however travel cards can be purchased.
