World Bicycle Day
To celebrate World Bicycle Day on 3rdJune 2019, we’ve pulled together a guide to our favourite cycle routes close to our London and Brighton-based developments.
Bow River Village
Situated on the banks of the River Lea in East London, Bow River Village is perfectly located to take advantage some fantastic cycle paths. One of the most popular paths is the 7.8 mile route along the Regent’s Canal to Camden, where you can stop off for something to eat in Camden Market before returning home - perfect for a leisurely cycle on a sunny Sunday.
Ilford Works
The dynamic and vibrant neighbourhood of Ilford is home to our Ilford Works development. Not only does Ilford possess quick connections to the City, but there are also plenty of cycle routes nearby. One of the most popular routes in the area starts in Barkingside, travels through Valentines Park in Ilford, past Wanstead Park and finishes in Mile End.
Gaumont Apartments
Situated in the highly sought-after area of Fulham is our soon to be launched property, Gaumont Apartments. As one of the most desirable areas to live in London, Fulham has many picturesque cycle routes that are bound to impress. One of our favourites is a circular, riverside route which starts at Putney Bridge Road and follows the river through Bishops Park, heading south-east towards Putney. This route also takes you through Wandsworth Park, over Wandsworth Bridge and skirts Hurlingham Park, before crossing Putney Bridge to finish.
Artisan
Our Artisan development is situated in the charming district of Seven Dials in Hove. For an ambitious 10 mile ride from this fabulous new property, why not cycle to the seaside town of Worthing? Start at Hove seafront and head to Hove Lagoon where you can stop for a bite to eat. After re-fuelling, cross the harbour and continue until you reach Shoreham. Continue following the coast to Widewater Lagoon Nature Reserve and finally, arrive in Worthing.
Montpelier Place
Similarly to Artisan, Montpelier Place in Brighton is situated just a mile away from Brighton seafront, from where you can cycle the coastal path in either direction for miles, without having to cross a single road.
Preston Road
Only a stone’s throw from Preston Park in the heart of Brighton and Hove is Preston Road; a collection of one, two and three-bedroom Shared Ownership homes. Encircling the cricket pitch at the top of nearby Preston Park is a cycle track that is perfect for children of all ages, but especially for younger ones still building their confidence on a bicycle.
