How long does it take to reach Central London? And what are the best modes of transport?...

London Fields is a beautiful village-like area to live in. It has a fantastic sense of community, plus you have the luxury of living a stone’s throw away from London Fields Park, the lido, and one of London’s best foodie hotspots, Broadway Market.

There are naysayers that think that it’s not well connected enough. However, we’re on hand to dispel the myth.

The fact that there isn’t a tube station is precisely the reason behind its beauty. Like other local village-like areas (Stoke Newington, Newington Green and Lower Clapton, to name but a few), not having a tube station has resulted in these beautiful villages evolving slowly, whilst maintaining their charm. These areas are full of characterful independent boutiques, specialist food shops, cafes and bars.

In reality, what you have is a charming urban village with great transport links within East London and across the capital.

London Fields is situated a swift 10-minute train journey from London Fields Station to Liverpool Street Station. Once there, you can alight on the Central Line to connect you with Central London. For instance, from London Fields, you can reach Bank in 19 minutes and Holborn in 25 minutes.

It’s also a great spot for connecting with the Victoria Line. It’s 10 minutes direct to Seven Sisters Station, where you can jump straight on the tube. You can reach Oxford Circus in a speedy 29 minutes door-to-door.

If keeping fit and avoiding the rat race is your thing, then the amenities of hip Shoreditch and Tower Bridge sit 11 and 20 minutes away, respectively. Perfect for a morning commute.

When the weekend starts to call, you have plenty of local hotspots in walking distance. You can take a beautiful wander along the Regent’s Canal across to Islington, passing the moreish Towpath Café, in only 35 minutes. It’s the perfect distance for a leisurely Sunday stroll.  Plus, the delights of Victoria Park are just 12 minutes away. London is your oyster.
