Right to Acquire

If you are a current Southern Housing Group tenant, you may be eligible to purchase your home under The Right to Acquire initiative.

Depending on the Borough you live in, eligible tenants will receive a discount from £9,000-£16,000.

Eligibility Criteria:

• You must have an assured tenancy
• You must have been a public sector tenant for the past 3 years
• Your home must have been built or funded after the 01 April 1997
• Your home should not be subject to demolition
• You have not been declared bankrupt or have a live bankruptcy petition pending against you
• You should not have any outstanding possession orders 

Note: If you sell your home within 5 years of purchase, you will be liable to repay all or some of the discount you received.
